This year in March you will have all probably seen Revolución de Cuba open up on Temple St, maybe even visited there during happy hour for a cocktail (or ten) before, we definitely have.
The popular Cuban bar offers an exceptional selection of rum, along with cocktails that are spun from classics throughout the years. Their food is all about sharing, offering a wide range of tapas along with main meals, such as burgers, burrito bowls and much more.
However, despite only being open for seven months, the popular bar & Cantina, is getting a bit of makeover. The two-floor operation is getting a facelift ahead of Christmas to keep up with the growing demand.
Whilst the upstairs club room is hugely popular across the weekend, the downstairs restaurant isn’t able to compete with its glamorous counterpart. Therefore the team have decided to refurbish the ground floor to give it an equally decadent feel.
When asking the management about the refurb and what spurred them on to recreate some of their brand new restaurant they said: “We’re aiming to bring a bit more of the upstairs Havana bar and it’s party atmosphere that our guests love, downstairs for everyone to enjoy”.
With that in mind, there will be more booth areas within the restaurant, added lighting and rumours of a secluded drinking den to the rear of the restaurant which will be situated by the newly installed DJ booth. A more flexible table layout is also set to be unveiled to help cater for all group sizes and their growing popularity.
The bar/restaurant itself is still open for business, however using the door that is further down Temple St, which allows access to their upstairs area meaning they are still serving food and drink.
With the refurb wrapping up tomorrow, and the ground floor being open once again ready for service, you will be able to see the new rejuvenation, along with a fresh lick of paint.
We will be heading in tomorrow to get the first look at the venue, along with tasting their signature Christmas cocktail whilst admiring their festive decor and we can’t wait!
